My first ever knitted item was made in college, more than eight years ago. It was a simple scarf made from some beautiful mohair in azure color.
It wasn’t fancy, it had an oversized look knitted in garter stitch on some ordinary 9 mm. needles.

I learned to knit from an old lady, she was our cleaning lady in our school. In sixth grade, we had a class that was exploring our creativity, and while the boys were busy learning about man stuff, the girls were occupied with needlework, knitting, or sewing among other things.
My grandmothers also taught me, but the basic technic I got from that lady, and she has a special place in my heart.
In 2021, more exactly at the begging of March, I order my first set of interchangeable needles from Knit Pro and a box full of Infinity Hearts Snowdrop yarn.
I started knitting right away, without a plan and I managed to create a beautiful cardigan in only three tries. It is not great or perfect but knitting something so fast after so long gave me a lot of courage.

Learning to knit the Russian way proved to be complicated, especially when following a pattern, and in 2022 at the end of the year, I had to learn how to knit the Continental way which made me feel like a child, learning to walk.
It was very frustrating but in the end, I succeeded.
That cardigan has its own story and I will probably talk about it in another post, I just manage to finish it after three long months of work.
